5-classic-pieces-every-woman-should-have

See, a look ain’t nothing without some fancy jewerly, am I right?

This is what makes a look stand out and also adds uniqueness to you and who you are.

Most of the times it’s really hard to find classic jewerly pieces who are not going to hurt your wallet.

Of course diamonds are a girl’s best friend but they’re not an essential.

It’s always nice to invest into something more expensive just to treat yourself so I’m going to present those options to you as well soon.

But for now we’re focusing on jewelry that’s not going to break the bank

Want to know what to look for and where to find it?

Jewelry is something you wear often, is your staple and you don’t change it very often.

In order to use it for long and avoid it turning green you have to wear high quality materials.

And no, this doesn’t mean something super fancy.

The material just has to be durable.

Something made out of stainless steel and silver is going to work out best for you at this point in your fashion journey.

If you prefer gold make sure it’s gold-plated!

This is key, otherwise the shine is going to fade and you’re going to be stuck with something that ruins your look completely.

Jewelry made out of poor materials goes under the term “costume jewelry”.

It’s not bad to have it, in fact if you like more crazy pieces who you’re not going to wear everyday, this is the perfect option for you.

But today we’re only talking about staples, things you wear everyday.

So, as I said – stainless steel/silver/gold-plated jewels are what we’re going to discuss now.

Where should you start is a question you may be asking yourself now.

Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

Let’s begin:

1. Earrings

There are various of styles to choose from but the most comfortable and easy to use are the small hoop ones.

You can find them in various sizes, shapes, designs and basically everything.

I suggest you go at a jewelry store in person so you can try them on and decide what size suits you best.

And let’s not forget the most important thing when it comes to earrings – they don’t have to weight your ear down!

Heavy earrings are really a pain and you want to avoid that.

Best material to choose would be silver because of it’s lightness.

My earrings are from Pandora, I really do recommend them when it comes to affordable jewelry.

I’ve never had any problems with pieces from them, they often have sales and a variety of metals and designs to choose from.

If you like stud earrings Pandora still has great options, Swarovski are a good brand as well and they offer a lot of cute and high quality pieces.

I would also recommend to go and try them in-person so you know what suits your ears best.

For stud earrings it’s really easy to have them “lost” if they’re too small.

What I mean by that is you can look like you’re not wearing them when in fact you are.

So be careful with that.

Another interesting thing that you can do is stack earrings if you have multiple ear piercings.

There’s a way to keep it classy and not look too crazy.

Just put a bigger earring on the main piercing and make your way down in size in every other one.

2. Necklaces

A personal favorite of mine

Here’s where you can experiment with everything and bring a look to a whole new level.

Mixing metals is really big here and I encourage you to try it for yourself sometimes.

Metal mixing means matching 2 or more different metals – let’s say i stack 2 necklaces, one is silver and the other one is gold, basically this is what metal mixing means.

You can also find a single necklace with mixed metals on it, they’re really cute as well.

But for the most part wearing only one necklace is the way to go.

Especially when you don’t want to remove it at night.

Having stacked necklaces is a little bit hard when you try to sleep so for convenience purposes we’re going to focus on one necklace at a time.

Here you can personalize it a lot – it can have your name, your sign, a stone you really like, birthstone and etc..

Try to keep the pendant as little as possible so it matches with clothes and other jewelry you wear.

If I was buying my first necklace today, I’ll probably go with a “diamond” stud pendant one.

It’s classic, timeless, not in your face but elevates a look by a 100%.

The one I have and wear now is a small heart with rhinestones.

It’s also from Pandora and I really enjoy the quality of it.

I sleep and shower with it and I haven’t seen any discoloration, fallen gemstonens or any defects happen.

Swarovski again have good options.

You can also pick a simple chain without any pendants.

Ana Luisa has a lot of options when it comes to snake chains and they’re really trendy now.

3. Rings

This is again something you can highly personalize or wear your engagement/wedding band combo only.

If you’re not engaged (most of us aren’t lol) it’s still nice to wear a little something so it completes the look.

It also makes your hands more polished.

Here I’d suggest you stick to only one or two rings maximum for your everyday look, otherwise it may look tacky and take the focus away from you.

A simple band or something with a dainty stone is going to work out best.

I know for the previous pieces I suggested you go and try them in-person.

Well, for this one you have to go on person no matter what.

Nailing your right size online is almost impossible so save yourself the hastle of returning things and just go to a near-by jewelry shop.

Here you can stack 2 rings on the same finger but make sure they’re complimenting each other well.

A thin band + ring with a small stone is going to workout best.

4. Watches

fashion-but-how-watch

Now we get into something that’s a bit more complex and requires brand knowledge.

There are all sorts of brands that make and sell watches.

But let me ask you – are they a watch-making brand or just hopping on something that “holds value”?

Most of the watches you see don’t hold value simply because they’re not made by a watch household name.

What we have to focus on here is brands who are known for their awesome mechanisms are watch designing.

Ignore every other one.

A entry-level good watch brand is Daniel Wellington.

They sell really high quality watches in various sizes and designs.

My watch is with a leather band and swarovski crystals.

Got it on like 50% off so that was a steal!

Yeah, they have sales pretty often and the watches are with genuine quality so for sure will last you a long time.

For comfort I suggest picking a leather band and then moving to a metal one simply because they tug a lot on the skin and can be sometimes uncomfortable (especially if you have body hair)

5. Bracelets

This is something just as the previous items (excluding watches) where you can highly personalize it and find it everywhere.

A favorite of mine is Pandora again because their Moments bracelets are really personalized and you can simply make your own.

What I mean by that is you can add charms on it that mean a lot to you or represent a big milestone in your life.

Or you can keep the bracelet plain and wear it like that.

Pandora bracelets used to be very trendy back in the day and I still think they’re quite cute if made right.

As you can see mine has a lot of charms and is a bit chunky.

That’s not something I recommend you do but it’s really personal to me.

I like wearing it like that so if you like customizing your jewelry you can easily do the same as me.

Another thing you can do here is stack bangles (similar to the Cartier Love bracelet) but make sure it’s not really loud or clanky because it can look tacky and we don’t want that.

That’s it for now, hope you enjoyed this post and found value in it.
