Transitional Outfits For Fall season - not too hot but not too cold lookbook
Ah, the fall time is when everything shifts – the weather gets a little bit cold, leaves start changing color and our wardrobe gets more cozy and layered.
One thing you’ve probably always wondered is – how do you dress appropriately for the fall season?
The weather is cold in the morning but sill somewhat warm in the afternoon, doesn’t really work to wear a turtleneck all day long.
I did some experimentation with my wardrobe and came up with 4 perfect transitional outfits you can wear and never feel either too hot or too cold.
All of them you can recreate with items you already have or get some that are going to last you forever.
Let’s get started!
Outfit #1 - Preppy school girl
Skirts are not only to be worn in the summer – getting a leather, velvet, tweed or any other skirt made out of thick fabric is going to be a good essential in your Fall/Winter wardrobe.
Pairing that with a white button down shirt and sweater on top or tied around your shoulders is all going to put the look together.
You can experiment with this base a lot, mix textures and be really classy and different.
For the colder times you can put colorful tights underneath or regular beige/black ones and still not get cold while having a bomb outfit!
outfit #2 - removing the sweater for a more night out look
Taking the sweater out of the equasion will leave you with a very night out worthy outfit.
While it really depends on the type of textures you’re wearing, almost any combination can be shifted from day to night.
You can safely leave your sweatshirt in the car while you’re leaving work and go meet with your besties for a drink!
Outfit #3 - Making it business casual
Since I mentioned work above, let’s see how we can make your business attire more fashionable.
Going to work shouldn’t always be in boring and ill fitting clothes.
In fact, it can be something really cute and still work appropriate.
Take this look for example:
*it’s with jeans, but you can always upgrade that to straight leg pants if your workplace doesn’t allow*
